Welcome the Membership & Programs Coordinator

Please join us in welcoming Kevin to VAM

Richmond, VA -  The Virginia Association of Museums (VAM) is very pleased to announce the hire of Kevin Collins, an experienced membership coordinator with a background in the arts and culture sector. His first day at VAM was October 2, 2024. We wish him luck in his new role at VAM!

Kevin was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia, and holds a BA in Theatre and Dance from James Madison University, along

with a post-graduate diploma in Theatre and Performance from Trinity College Dublin. With a strong foundation in arts education and performance, he has worked as both a teaching artist and administrator at various theatres and schools throughout the DC area.  Kevin has also appeared on stage as an actor and musician at the Folger Theatre, Imagination Stage, and other DC area theatres. Museums have been a key influence on his personal and professional journey, and he is excited to help bring those enriching experiences to communities across Virginia. When he’s not working, you’ll often find Kevin outdoors, capturing the beauty of nature through his photographs.
