From our chair: Why I give back!

Like many of you, one of the things that I love most about my community is the rich museums that brighten our landscape, tell our stories, educate our children, and foster curiosity in untold ways. It is through this sense of community that we find our place and ourselves. Supporting this rich network of museums is the core of the Virginia Association of Museum’s mission. 

I love the energy and sense of community at our annual conference, the dynamic conversations at our regional gatherings, and the power of our collective voices through our advocacy work. As a museum professional, I know how critical the work of VAM is to make sure our profession is supported, and our voices are heard.
