VA Museum Collaborative Launching to Support VA250
VAM is pleased to announce a new VA Museum Collaborative to support VA250 efforts throughout the Commonwealth. This advisory body will both provide feedback from the museum community to the VA250 Commission, and share news from the Commission with our museums throughout the Commonwealth. Chaired by VAM Past President Scott Stroh and current President Karen L Daly, the VA Museum Collaborative will convene quarterly, typically virtually, through the 2026 anniversary of the birth of our nation.
Please join us for the first virtual convening of the VA Museum Collaborative: Tuesday, May 28 at 3pm.
Register here: Zoom link will be sent upon registration.

Mark your calendars for July 4th! VA250 is planning a vibrant "Square Fair" at the Virginia State Capitol kicking off at 4:00 pm, featuring a dynamic showcase of Virginia's rich history and culture. We're inviting museums and cultural organizations like yours to participate by hosting interactive booths or tents. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage families with hands-on activities, demonstrations, workshops, and other programs that explore the theme of freedom and its diverse interpretations throughout Virginia's story. Stay tuned for more information coming soon! In the meantime, please email kegnergruber@va250.virginia.gov with your interest and availability by June 1.
