Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Virginia Department of Education will be unable to lead the conversation on February 27th as planned. However, we are going to offer an education session exploring teacher resources and the best ways we can support teachers with the introduction of the new Standards of Learning in the 2025-2026 academic year. Join in on the brainstorming session to hear from other museum educators on what resources they are creating, share best practices, and discuss different ways your museum is sharing those resources.
As the Social Science Standards of Learning go into effect in Virginia for the 2025-2026 academic year, how are you preparing your institution to support educators as they implement the new material? How can museums work together to create shared learning opportunities and professional development for educators across the Commonwealth?
