Compensation - $68,000-72,000 plus benefits

Summary - The Marketing and Public Relations Team at Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is dedicated to maximizing public awareness of its museums – Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. Our goal is to drive increased admission and earned income through strategic marketing and communication efforts. We achieve this by leveraging a combination of advertising, sales, media relations, and digital media strategies. The Advertising and Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in our department, responsible for managing advertising campaigns and both owned and paid media placements. This position also includes direct management of our marketing graphics designer, ensuring cohesive and impactful visual communications. 

Qualifications 

  • Excellent writing abilities, project management skills, analytical thinking, and research skills.
  • Detail oriented with experience in project management and partnering with advertising vendors and advertising agency to support exhibitions, programming, events, and facility rentals.
  • Ability to work with all levels of professionals/management/ staff/general public.
  • Ability to effectively recruit, train, supervise and evaluate employees.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in planning, negotiating, organizing, implementing, and evaluating integrated comprehensive advertising and promotional plans, simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience working in heritage tourism, with an understanding of historical content and research helpful.
  • Prior marketing and social media experience preferred.
